The King!

Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Regardless of creed or color we should all remember a man that did not look to raise up a superior race, but to allow every human being to be as one. To live together and believe in the Human Race. There are many issues today that can be solve with the same care and attention that he used to help African Americans to be free from unseen oppression, among many other issues.

Today we face another problem. We can see a parallel to the Gay community who, because of Proposition 8, are not allowed certain rights as human beings. Whether it's religion or pure hatred for Homosexuals, I feel we cannot stand for the ignorance that has defaced all the good that people inherently own. I know that the American Nation is suffering from more than just this issue. Bt, we can use the ideas and example of MLK to fix these problems.

His legacy is so apparent today. He has never faded from history or our minds. Tomorrow, we swear in a new President. Someone who believes in humans. Believes in change. Believes in those things that allow us to get back to a humanistic way of life. To not only live with the people in this country in peace, but also with those outside of our country. I hope that we will be able to use MLK's key idea in his campaigns to solve our issues with the world. Non violent acts of hope and charity.
